I've loved how most of his books that have turned into movies stayed pretty true to the books. A couple of books I think should be made into movies: The Regulators; The Talisman and Black House; and The Dark Tower Series.

I made the mistake of reading on past the author's note at the end of the Dark Tower and after reading that final chapter felt that I would have been happier stopping where Stephen King told me to...lol. Although the ending of Cell leaves you wanting to know more... it is also a great story.

My son is reading The Regulators for his AR points right now. It's fun to be able to discuss books with him. He read Flags of Our Father's after I finished it last fall. I had promised him if he finished the book that we would go see the movie... but I bought the DVD for him instead (he is 17).

My husband has also read quite a bit of Stephen King and is especially fond of his short novella's and short stories. Shawshank Redemption is still one of his favorite Movies.

I must own about 35 to 40 of his books... a big chunk of which are in Hardbound because I read them over and over... I have a few paperbacks too, but if I can afford to pick up the hardbound I do.
